POSITION OVERVIEW The Maintenance Specialist II performs maintenance and general repairs in the areas of carpentry, painting, plastering, equipment servicing, plumbing, electrical, carpet and flooring installation, or vehicle servicing as assigned. The work carried out must meet the generally accepted standards of the construction, remodel, and repair industries. Furthermore, the work carried out is viewed as the specialist's private signature on the physical plant image of the organization. All work should be of excellent quality and be fully completed in a timely manner. The timeliness of work shall be equivalent to an industry standard as exemplified in the private, for profit world.This position mandates knowledge in the procedures and safety measures in areas of specialty, including understanding standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of maintenance and repair. This position works under general supervision in completing tasks that are routine to more complex remodeling assignments in residential and commercial settings.
